These Terms and Conditions govern your access to and use of the Telfer Print website and the placement of orders with us. By placing an order, you agree to be bound by these terms. Telfer Print reserves the right to update these terms at any time without prior notice. The current version will always be published on our website.

Australian Consumer Law — Your Rights

Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other

reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced

if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy you have

under the Australian Consumer Law or any other applicable law that cannot be excluded.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing this website or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions and any additional guidelines or rules posted on this website. All such guidelines are incorporated into these terms by reference.

These terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Telfer Print with respect to your use of this website and the purchase of products from us.

2. Order Placement and Acceptance

All orders are subject to acceptance by Telfer Print. We reserve the right to decline any order at our discretion without being required to provide a reason.

Once your order has been placed, payment has been received and the job has entered production, no further changes can be made. By approving your artwork or design for print, you accept full responsibility for all content, including:

  • Spelling, grammar and punctuation

  • Contact details including phone numbers, addresses and email addresses

  • Design layout, logos and images

  • All text and information displayed

We will print exactly what you upload or approve. Please review your artwork carefully before approval. Telfer Print will not reprint at our expense unless the error is determined to be our fault.

3. Pricing and GST

Prices for pre-printed products are listed on our website. For custom or bulk order pricing, please contact us at [email protected].

All prices are displayed in Australian dollars (AUD). Unless otherwise stated, prices are inclusive of GST.

We reserve the right to revise prices at any time without prior notice. However, all confirmed orders will be fulfilled at the price displayed or quoted to you at the time of ordering. Quotes are valid for 14 days from the date of issue and may be subject to change after this period.

4. Print Quality and Customer Satisfaction

Telfer Print is committed to producing high-quality print products using current printing technology. We aim to deliver products that meet your expectations and comply with our quality standards.

Please be aware of the following factors that are outside our direct control:

a) Image Quality

The quality of the final printed product depends on the resolution and quality of artwork you supply. We recommend a minimum of 300 dpi for best results. Lower resolution images may result in a less sharp finish.

b) Colour Variation

Print colours may vary from what you see on screen. This is a natural characteristic of CMYK offset and bulk-run printing, and can be affected by:

  • Differences in monitor calibration and display settings

  • Variation between different paper stocks and printing processes

  • Colour differences between the front and back of printed media

  • Slight variation between separate print runs of the same artwork

These variations are inherent to the printing process and do not constitute a defect.

c) Trimming Tolerance

Trimming of printed products may shift by up to 3mm in any direction. You should ensure your artwork follows our bleed and safe zone guidelines to minimise the risk of important content being trimmed. Telfer Print reserves the right to make minor adjustments to your artwork where necessary to avoid foreseeable printing problems. Such changes will not materially alter your design.

If you receive an order you consider unsatisfactory, please contact us within 5 business days of receipt with details of your concern. We will assess your complaint and, where we determine the issue is due to our error, we will arrange a replacement print at no charge to you.

5. Customer Obligations and Artwork

By submitting artwork or approving a design for printing, you confirm that:

  • You own all intellectual property rights in the artwork, or have obtained written permission from the rights holder to use it

  • The artwork does not infringe any copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights of any third party

  • The content is not defamatory, offensive, illegal or in breach of any applicable law

  • You have written permission to use any third-party photographs, illustrations or other copyrighted material included in the artwork

Telfer Print assumes that artwork submitted by customers is either owned by them or used with appropriate permission. We accept no responsibility for artwork submitted in breach of third-party rights. By placing your order, you agree to indemnify Telfer Print against any claims, damages, costs or expenses arising from the use of artwork you have provided.

6. Returns, Defects and Remedies

Because our products are custom printed to your specifications, we are unable to accept returns for change of mind once an order has been processed and dispatched.

However, your rights under the Australian Consumer Law are not affected by this policy. If your order contains a defect, error or damage that is attributable to Telfer Print, you are entitled to a remedy as described below.

Reporting a Problem

Any claim for defects, printing errors, damage in transit or short delivery must be made in writing within 5 business days of receiving your order. To make a claim, contact us at [email protected] with:

  • Your order number

  • A clear description of the issue

  • Photographs showing the defect or damage

Remedies

Where a complaint is assessed by us as justified, and after accounting for the normal print variations described in Section 4, we will offer one of the following remedies:

  • Reprint of the affected order at no charge to you

  • Replacement of defective or damaged items

  • A partial or full refund where a reprint or replacement is not appropriate

Returned goods must be received by us before a replacement order is processed. We will not provide a remedy where it is determined the goods were misused, mishandled or deliberately damaged after delivery, or where only part of the order is returned after part has been used.

Your consumer guarantee rights

Nothing in this section limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. If a product

fails to meet a consumer guarantee, you are entitled to a remedy regardless of our returns

policy. For major failures, you may choose a refund or replacement. For minor failures,

we are entitled to offer a repair, replacement or refund within a reasonable time.

7. Cancellations and Refunds

Once an order has been accepted and entered into our production system, it cannot be cancelled and no refund will be issued for change of mind, as production resources have been committed to your job.

Refunds will be issued where:

  • We are unable to fulfil your order

  • A product fails to meet a consumer guarantee under the Australian Consumer Law and a refund is the appropriate remedy

  • We determine a reprint or replacement is not a suitable remedy for a legitimate complaint

If your credit card payment is declined, your order will not be processed. Telfer Print is not liable for any loss resulting from a declined payment.

8. Delivery

Telfer Print will endeavour to dispatch orders within the timeframe indicated at the time of purchase or as agreed in your quote. Delivery timeframes are estimates only and are not guaranteed.

Telfer Print is not responsible for delays caused by events outside our control, including but not limited to courier delays, natural disasters, acts of God, strikes, governmental action, war, riot or embargo.

Risk of loss or damage to goods passes to you upon delivery to the nominated delivery address. If you believe goods were damaged in transit, please notify us within 5 business days and retain all packaging for inspection.

9. Warranty

Telfer Print warrants that our products will be produced with reasonable skill and care and will conform to the approved artwork and specifications at the time of printing.

This warranty does not cover:

  • Defects arising from artwork, content or specifications supplied by you

  • Colour variations of the nature described in Section 4

  • Damage caused after delivery

  • Normal print tolerances as described in Section 4

Mandatory warranty statement

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any

other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired

or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to

a major failure.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Telfer Print's liability to you for any loss or damage arising from or in connection with your use of this website or the purchase of our products is limited to the purchase price of the goods in question.

Telfer Print is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss or damage, including loss of profits or business, arising from our performance or non-performance of our obligations, except to the extent such liability cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law or any other applicable law.

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded.

11. Intellectual Property

The design tools, templates and content available on the Telfer Print website are the property of Telfer Print and its affiliated companies. You may not reproduce, copy or use any of this material without our prior written consent.

Telfer Print will not be liable for any intellectual property infringement arising from artwork submitted by customers. By submitting artwork, you confirm you have the right to use all content included and you indemnify Telfer Print against any resulting claims.

12. Privacy

Telfer Print collects and handles personal information in accordance with applicable Australian privacy laws. We collect personal information such as your name, address, email and phone number for the purposes of processing your order and communicating with you about it.

We do not sell or disclose your personal information to third parties except where required to fulfil your order (for example, passing a delivery address to a courier) or where required by law.

By using our website and placing an order, you consent to us sending order-related communications to the email address provided. You may withdraw this consent at any time by contacting us at [email protected].

13. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. Any dispute arising under these terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland.

Nothing in these terms affects your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, which applies throughout Australia regardless of the governing law of these terms.

14. General

If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid, unlawful or unenforceable, that provision will be severed and the remaining terms will continue in full force and effect.

Our failure to enforce any provision of these terms does not constitute a waiver of our right to enforce it in the future.

These terms may be updated from time to time. The current version will always be available on our website. Continued use of our website or placement of an order after any update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
